Growing Players, building Community
Our Story
Let’s Play Pickleball began as a simple after-school club, led by a parent eager to share the sport with his kids and their friends. Word quickly spread, sparking interest from neighboring schools. What started as one single program soon grew into a thriving network of schools across the greater Seattle area—all echoing with the iconic pop of pickleball!
In 2025, we founded the Pickleball Forward Foundation as a nonprofit to expand our reach and make pickleball more accessible to young people and families. It felt like the right move to support what our community was already building together.
Today, our organization offers after-school programs, summer camps, and tournaments that bring people together through the joy of pickleball. Our team is deeply passionate about both youth development and pickleball—and nothing energizes us more than watching kids discover pickleball, build confidence, and have a whole lot of fun along the way.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower youth and build community through accessible and high-quality pickleball programs that celebrate the joy and power of play.
-
We believe every kid has potential waiting to be unlocked. Through pickleball, we help young people build confidence, develop new skills, and discover what they're capable of—on and off the court. When a child masters a new serve or cheers on a teammate, they're learning lessons that extend far beyond the game.
-
Pickleball has this amazing way of bringing people together. Our programs create spaces where kids connect with peers and learn from their coaches, and make possible families playing pickleball across generations.
-
Every young person deserves the chance to play, regardless of experience level or background. We work hard to remove barriers by offering programs at convenient locations and times—because we know how important that is for busy families. We also keep costs affordable so that financial constraints don't keep any kid off the court. Accessibility means meeting families where they are, in every element.
-
We're committed to excellent coaching, well-designed programs, and experiences that kids genuinely enjoy. Quality matters because we want young people to not only learn and play pickleball but to fall in love with sports and a healthy lifestyle.
-
At our core, we believe in the joy and power of play. Pickleball is fun, and that matters. When kids are having a great time, they're more engaged, more willing to try new things, and more likely to develop lifelong healthy habits. If it’s not fun, what’s the point?
